SUMMER EXHIBITIONS
July 2, 2007
Summer is here, and I am very excited to begin my first international tour. I start this week with my opening at the Hun Gallery in New York. The exhibition will run for 2 weeks in NYC before heading off to Seoul. Although I won't be in attendance for the Seoul opening it is an exciting feeling to know that my art will be!
A few weeks later Jason and I are off to Germany (just after the wedding) to attend my opening in Hamburg. This is definitely a new chapter in my artistic career, and I am really looking forward to it.
I think my collectors will see a new vision taking shape in the pieces I am unveiling this summer. My life has change dramatically in the last six months, and my art is most certainly reflective of that change. Not only has my subject matter changed but I feel that I am moving more towards a true blending of my two styles of painting -- cubist and abstract. Think Picasso meets Rothko meets Basquiat (this is just a description -- I am most certainly not putting myself in the same league as these great masters).
I will post...

April 30, 2007
I am thrilled to announce that I have recently signed with Marziart Internationale Galerie in Hamburg, Germany. I will be showing there this summer, with a scheduled opening of August 3rd. This will be my first international exhibition, so I am very excited to enter the partnership with Marziart. To visit the gallery's site go to http://www.marziart.com/. More details on the exhibition coming soon!
I also want to thank fellow friend, artist, and mentor, Marcus Antonius Jansen. Once again his advice and assistance has proven to be invaluable to my career. Please support Marcus -- the world's leader in Modern Urban-Expressionism -- by visiting his site, www.marcusjansen.com. ....and buy his book! It's fantastic!

Angelia now Featured on Artnet
January 27, 2007
I am happy to announce that I am now featured on www.artnet.com, the web's number one site for the latest news from the art world. To find me simply type my name or the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery into the search box. The following is listed under Contemporary Master Exhibitions:
‘ALCHEMIES of the INVISIBLE”
Three degrees of abstraction are surveyed in “Alchemies of the Invisible.” Through the medium of collage and mixed media, Canadian artist BOB CRAIG’s subtle canvases blend together seamlessly expressive modalities of abstraction. In direct contrast are the exuberant oil paintings of DALE OFTEDAL whose vibrant colors celebrate the joy of rock and roll as well as the world around us. Offering another dimension of the abstract expressionist modality are the mathematically inspired paintings of ANGELIA PICKETT, whose scientifically based compositions provide a metaphysical approach to the abstract genre.

Opening was a big success!
January 13, 2007
Thanks to everyone who came out to the Amsterdam Whitney Gallery Opening. There were hundreds of guests at the party, and a great time was had by all. To view photos from the event go to my homepage and follow the links to "event photos."
Also, I just got an e-mail from the gallery owners today and she says:
"The Champagne Reception was magnificently well attended by influential luminaries in the art world as well as prominent VIP's in the business and social world. Important collectors attended as well, including prominent judges, lawyers, doctors, Wall Streeters, a French Prince, a French Marque, and a Russian Baroness. 50 bottles of Champagne were enjoyed by our guests, along with 25 lbs. of Zabars imported cheese, and cookies, chocolates, fruit and cake."
